"The U.S. will support Armenia's security by appointing a representative to the Armenian Ministry of Defense," he US Embassy in Armenia stated, Paralel.Az reports citing the Armenian press.

The Embassy noted that the development of cooperation in this direction will also be beneficial for strengthening bilateral relations.

The Embassy also announced that the activities of the representative will be funded by the U.S. Department of State and that they will start working within this year.

The statement also mentioned that the name of the person who will carry out this position is already known.
