"A number of fake social media accounts have shared a video-address on behalf of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, allegedly encouraging citizens to invest in the country's banking sector. We inform you that the mentioned video-address was created using "deep-fake" technology and is false information that does not reflect any reality," read a joint statement by Azerbaijan's State Service of Special Communication and Information Security and Media Development Agency, Paralel.Az-Economics reports.
