Inflation in Azerbaijan was 0.7% in the first half of this year
In June of this year, the consumer price index was 101.1% compared to June 2023, as well as 100.2% for food products, beverages and tobacco products, 101.0% for non-food products, and 102.4% for paid services provided to the population, Paralel.Az-Economics reports citing the State Statistics Committee.
According to the information, in June 2024, the consumer price index was 99.9% compared to the previous month, and in January-June, it was 100.7% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
According to information, in June 2024, the consumer price index for non-food goods was 100.1% compared to the previous month, and in January-June, it was 101.2% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. In June, compared to the previous month, higher prices of non-food goods were observed in the prices of fabrics, summer clothes, cut wood, and jewelry. There have been serious changes in the prices of other non-food goods.
In June 2024, the consumer price index for paid services provided to the population was 100.3% compared to the previous month, and in January-June, it was 102.4% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. In June, compared to the previous month, the increase in the price of paid services provided to the population was mainly observed in the prices of carpet cleaning, taxi transportation within the city, and international passenger transportation by air. There were no significant changes in the prices of other paid services.
