According to information provided by the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Republic of Kenya, on July 2, 2024, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of the Congo with residence in Nairobi, Sultan Hajiyev presented his credentials to the President of the Republic of the Congo Mr. Denis Sassou Nguesso, the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Republic of Kenya told Paralel.Az.

The Embassy noted that the President of the Republic of the Congo Denis Sassou Nguesso asked his greetings to be conveyed to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev. He wished the Ambassador success in his new tenure.

It was also noted that in addition to hosting COP29, Azerbaijan will also host the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) and World Environment Day (WED2026) in 2026.
