Meeting of China-Arab States Cooperation Forum achieves ideal results, says AL chief
Secretary-General of the League of Arab States (AL) Ahmed Aboul-Gheit has spoken highly of the 10th ministerial conference of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum, praising the unprecedented high level of development of China-Arab relations.
This year's ministerial meeting has achieved ideal results, Aboul-Gheit said during a recent meeting with Chinese Ambassador to Egypt Liao Liqiang in Cairo, appreciating China's consistent emphasis on developing relations with Arab countries.
The Arab side attaches great importance to Chinese President Xi Jinping's keynote speech at the opening ceremony of the meeting, Aboul-Gheit said, adding that it is willing to work with China to jointly implement the consensus of heads of state of the Arab countries and China as well as the results of the ministerial meeting, build "five cooperation frameworks" and host the second China-Arab States Summit.
For his part, Liao said that current China-Arab relations are at a historic high and a model of China's relations with developing countries.
In the next stage, China is willing to work with the Arab side to further strengthen and improve the construction of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum, fully implement President Xi's proposal to jointly build the "five cooperation frameworks" between China and Arab countries, host the second China-Arab States Summit, and accelerate the building of a China-Arab community with a shared future, the Chinese ambassador said.
