U.S. President Biden: Azerbaijan remains to be significant pillar of the global energy security, particularly in Europe
“Azerbaijan’s hosting of Baku Energy Week underscores the transformational role that Azerbaijan has played in the global energy landspace,” said Joe Biden, the President of United States in his letter that was read at the opening of the 29th International Caspian Oil & Gas Exhibition - Caspian Oil & Gas and the 12th Caspian International Power and Green Energy Exhibition - Caspian Power as part of the Baku Energy Week, Paralel.Az reports.
Joe Biden noted that Baku prepares to host pivotal COP29 in November: “COP29 presents unique opportunity for Azerbaijan to advance key global initiatives like limiting methane emissions and oil and gas sector and advance in clean energy transition. Azerbaijan remains to be a significant pillar of the global energy security, particularly to Europe. I’m encouraged by the increased focus and commitment of Azerbaijan to the clean energy. Caspian Sea’s potential can lead Azerbaijan's production in the field of clean energy to surpass traditional energy production in the future."
Joe Biden, highly appreaciating steps taken towards the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, said that United States attaches great importance to peace and tranquility.
