Emomali Rahmon: Amount of contracts, agreements signed at business forum in Baku exceeded USD 700 million
"During the talks, we once again stated that we are ready to consider the opportunities for Azerbaijani companies and financial institutions to participate in the implementation of projects and programs in Tajikistan as a matter of priority," President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon said in a joint press conference with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
"The business forum held within the framework of our visit in Baku showed that the parties have ample opportunities to develop economic-commercial relations. I hope that its results will give impetus to our cooperation in this direction, along with the bilateral documents signed today. It's necessary to note that the total amount of commercial contracts and agreements signed within the framework of the forum has exceeded USD 700 million. Relevant ministries and departments were given specific tasks to develop new approaches to the expansion of the nomenclature of mutually supplied goods in order to increase the trade turnover between our countries," he said.
