MEDIA: Armenia to recall its ambassador from Russia

Armenia will recall its ambassador to Russia, Vagharshak Harutiunyan, in September, "Zhohovurd" newspaper made a claim about this, Paralel.Az reports.

According to the information obtained by the publication, he will be replaced by MP Gurgen Arsenyan from the ruling Civil Contract party:

"The meeting of the parliament held on July 12 was the last meeting in which G. Arsenyan participated as a MP. So, he will lose his mandate because he will be appointed as ambassador in the next few days."

It should be noted that according to Armenia’s legislation, the candidate for the post of ambassador is appointed or recalled by the President upon the proposal of the Prime Minister.
