Hero of the Patriotic War, Major General Namig Islamzade, was appointed to the post of commander of the Air Force of Azerbaijan Army, Paralel.Az reports.

Until this appointment, Namig Islamzade served as the deputy commander of the Air Force.

Note that on May 11, the commander of the Air Force, Lieutenant General Ramiz Tahirov, was released from his duties due to the age limit.
