Video conference titled "Solidarity with KANAK People" organized at invitation of Baku Initiative Group-VIDEO
At the invitation of the Baku Initiative Group, representatives of the political movements fighting for independence in France's recent colonies of Kanaky (New Caledonia), Maohi Nui (French Polynesia), French Guiana, Martinique, Guadeloupe, and Corsica organized a video conference called "Solidarity with KANAK People", Paralel.Az reports.
Representatives from New Caledonia gave detailed information about the atrocities committed by the French police and gendarmerie forces in the capital Nouméa and surrounding regions in recent days. Speakers strongly condemned the atrocities committed against the Kanak people. The meeting participants called on the international community not to turn a blind eye to the unjust colonial policy of France, to raise the voice of truth, and on UN member states to sound the alarm through the Security Council, and prevent the gross violation of norms and principles of international law by France.
The Baku Initiative Group, in turn, urged the international community to unite around the idea of "Unity, Freedom and Independence" for the peoples of regions suffering from colonialism and say "NO" to French colonialism and say "YES" to a just struggle for independence.
Within the framework of the video conference, a flash mob was held, which contained calls for independence of the regions suffering from the colonial policy of France.
Note that today, the Baku Initiative Group and 14 political movements fighting for independence in France's recent colonies, including Kanaky (New Caledonia), Maohi Nui (French Polynesia), French Guiana, Martinique, Guadeloupe, and Corsica, have issued a joint statement expressing support for New Caledonia.
The Baku Initiative Group declares that it will always support the just struggle for the independence of the people suffering from the colonial policy of France.
