Economic growth in Azerbaijan reached 4.3% this year
In January-April of 2024, the total Gross Domestic Product (GDP) produced in Azerbaijan amounted to AZN 38 bln. 181.9 mln., 4.3% more than the same period last year, Paralel.Az-Economics reports citing the State Statistics Committee.
According to the information, value added in the oil and gas sector of the economy decreased by 0.1 %, and in the non-oil and gas sector, increased by 7.7 %.
40.3 percent of GDP production in industry, 9.5 percent in trade, vehicle repair, 6.9 percent in transport and warehousing, 6 percent in construction, 3.1 percent in agriculture, forestry, and fishing, 2.4 percent in tourist accommodation and public catering, 1.7 percent in information and communication fields, and 20.0 percent fell to other sectors, and net taxes on products and imports made up 10.1 percent of GDP.
