In December 2020, Russian border guards will leave the posts established on the border between Gorus and Chakaten village of Gafa.
It should be noted that the agreement was reached on May 9 in Moscow between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. According to the agreement, the Russian military must leave the stations in Syunik, Vayots Dzor, Gegharkunik, Ararat and Tavush, where they were stationed based on a verbal agreement after the 44-day war.
