"The burning of the "Quran" is a step against freedom of belief and religion," Chairman of the Central Council of Muslims in Germany (ZMD) Aiman Mazyek said as he delivered a speech during the panel discussion on "Similarities and differences in the treatment of Muslims in Western Europe, basic human rights of the Muslim community" whithin the framework of the Baku-hosted international scientific conference on “Embracing Diversity: Tackling Islamophobia in 2024”, Paralel.Az reports.

According to him, the organization he represents is an association joining 19 Islam communities in Germany: ""Extremist actions taken against Muslims, Jews, and Christians are against fundamental human rights."
