"Russian Railways" commences reconstruction of Armenian railway following the flood
After the flood, the "Russian Railways" company has promptly begun to restore the railways of Armenia; Russia allocates money for their restoration, Andrey Matveev, the press secretary of Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk has announced, Paralel.Az reports citing Armenpress.
"According to the agreements reached by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexey Overchuk and the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Mher Grigoryan, the specialists of the "Russian Railways" OJSC have promptly started the restoration of the internal and the only international railway communication between Armenia and Georgia disrupted by the natural disaster that took place on May 25-26 in Lori and Tavush regions of the Republic of Armenia,’’ reads the statement issued by Matveev.
The press secretary added that the Russian Federation is allocating financial resources for the reconstruction of the railway, taking into account the importance of the railway in providing the people of Armenia with vital cargo.
