Meta's Facebook, Messenger and Instagram are down worldwide, leaving hundreds of thousands of users unable to access the social media platforms, Paralel.Az reports.

The issues are impacting both social media sites' apps and website.

Instagram and Threads are also reportedly unavailable to users with users seeing a message reading "something went wrong" when loading the apps or websites.

Downdetector, which monitors online outages, has shown a spike in the number of people reporting issues with Facebook, Messenger and Instagram.
