Physical meetings on peace between Azerbaijan, Armenia are of great importance - FM

"Physical meetings on the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia are important," Jeyhun Bayramov Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, told Paralel.Az's Turkish correspondent within the Antalya Diplomacy Forum.

He noted that there were no physical negotiations on the peace treatyduring the 7 months prior to the meeting of the delegations of Azerbaijan and Armenia held in Berlin on February 28-29.

"After that, there were more comments on the text, drafts and passing them to each other by the parties. In any case, physical meetings are important in this process. We can note the recent positive dynamics in this direction. First of all, I would like to mention the meeting of the President of Azerbaijan and the Prime Minister of Armenia at the Munich Security Conference at the initiative of the German Chancellor, which became a contact between the leaders after a certain break. In general, we evaluate it (the meeting - ed.) positively. And after that contact, a decision was made about the meeting of foreign ministers," the minister said.
