US House of Representatives Speaker: "House won't be rushed to pass $95B aid bill"
United States House of Representatives Speaker Mike Johnson said Wednesday that the lower chamber will take its time to discuss whether the legislation recently passed by the Senate to allow an aid package worth $95 billion that will benefit Ukraine, Israel and others can be approved in the next stage, Paralel.Az reports quoting The Associated Press.
Johnson rejected the scenario of having the House “rushed” to take a decision. "The Republican-led House will not be jammed or forced into passing a foreign aid bill," he added.
Regarding the "serious national security threat" revealed by the House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Turner, Johnson stressed there is no need for a public alert on it.
