Mercenaries placed under the "protection of the European Union Mission" are a threat to the lives of the Azerbaijani military and civilian population, said Azrrbaijan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs in response to the statement of the High Representative of the European Union for foreign relations and security policy, Joseph Borrell, against Azerbaijan at a joint press conference with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan, Paralel.Az reports.

"The EU side should take into account that the mercenaries deployed by Armenia in the border regions under the "protection of the European Union Mission" are a threat to the lives of the Azerbaijani military and civilian population," said the Ministry.
