Azerbaijan arrests person who financed international terrorism by collecting money on WhatsApp
A person who finances international terrorism was arrested in Azerbaijan, Paralel.Az reports.
It is noted that in the criminal case currently under investigation by the State Security Service, Aliyev Yusif Sultan, a citizen of the Republic of Azerbaijan, has been chosen for arrest by the Baku city Sabail District Court.
The accusation against Yusif Aliyev states that it was found that he had sent the money collected through the creation of several closed groups on the social media platforms Telegram and WhatsApp to other nations in order to finance a transnational terrorist group.
In the ongoing criminal case, Yusif Aliyev is charged with Article 214-1 (financing of terrorism) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
