Four social reform packages were implemented in Azerbaijan in 2018-2023 to increase social payments by Presidential Decrees and Orders, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Anar Karimov said at a press conference on increasing pensions by indexation according to the Decree of President Ilham Aliyev, Paralel.Az reports.

According to him, an additional 7 billion manats have been allocated annually for these reforms, which cover more than 4 million citizens: "As a result of indexation and increase of pensions with the new Decree, it is predicted that the average monthly pension amount will reach from 436 manats to 485 manats, and the amount of the average monthly pension will reach from 467 manats to 519 manats according to age. Increases are carried out automatically through the electronic system, and pensioners do not need to submit any documents or apply for it."
