The number of HIV patients registered in Azerbaijan has been announced, Gunash Jafarova, the deputy director of the Republican AIDS Center of the Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan said, Paralel.Az reports.

She emphasized that the first case of HIV infection was registered in Azerbaijan in 1987.

According to her, by the end of 2023, the number of registered HIV patients in Azerbaijan is 9,252.
