During the peacetime, the number of deaths in the army is increasing dynamically, suicide rates increase to the same extent as well, said Andranik Yeghoyan, the head of Unit of Protection of Human Rights of Members of the Armed Forces and Their Family Members, Ombudsperson Office of Armenia, Paralel.Az reports citing Sputnik Amrenia.

“Those casualties showcases that there are serious problems with discipline within the army. 63 deaths in 2018, 49 deaths in 2019, 54 deaths in 2020, 58 deaths in 2021, 64 deaths in 2022, and even more deaths were reported in 2023,” – he said.
