On January 11, 2024, an event and exhibition were held in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Latvia, the Ministry told Paralel.Az.

The event was attended by the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, the members of Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani Parliament), diplomats of the Embassy of the Republic of Latvia in the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as other guests.

Fariz Rzayev, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, conveyed his congratulations on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two states (Azerbaijan and Latvia – ed.) as he delivered speech at the event. The development of the existing strategic partnership relations between Azerbaijan and Latvia in various directions, including political, economic, humanitarian, scientific-technical, cultural, etc. for 30 years was discussed in detail.

Then, speaking at the event, Ambassador of Latvia to Azerbaijan Edgars Skuja conveyed his congratulations on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, expressed hope for further development of relations.

After the speeches, the exchange of congratulatory letters of the Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Latvia on the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries took place.

At the end of the event, the participants got acquainted with the exhibition dedicated to the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Latvia.
