Anti-epidemic and preventive measures are being implemented in Azerbaijan related to the local spread of measles, which started at the end of 2023 and is currently ongoing, the Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan told Paralel.Az.

The Minitry noted that the analysis of the epidemiological situation indicates that, in addition to young children, cases of infection also occur among children over 10 years old and adults. It should also be noted that almost all of those infected are people who have never been vaccinated and have never caught measles.

It was reported that for vaccination, people can apply to the medical institutions that provide ambulatory polyclinic services to children and adults at their residences.
