Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian met with the newly appointed Consul General of Iran in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Aziz Mansoori, the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, Paralel.Az reports.

During the meeting, Abdollahian discussed the bilateral relations between Iran and Azerbaijan within the framework of the neighborhood policy, emphasizing the imperative to enhance cooperation between the two countries. The minister underscored the significance of diplomatic missions in fostering this collaboration.

Mansoor presented his work plan for the new position to the minister.

It is noteworthy that Aziz Mansuri previously served as the head of the Department of Multilateral Financial-Commercial, Energy, and Transport Cooperation in the Iranian Foreign Ministry.
