Ukraine to run out of Western weapons soon, Putin says

Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that Western weapons coming to Ukraine will be exhausted before long, Paralel.Az reports citing TASS.

At a meeting with military personnel at the Vishnevsky Hospital, Putin cited data on the use of US shells by the Ukrainian military.

"The Ukrainian army spends 5,000 or even 6,000 155-caliber shells per day, while the United States produces 14,000 per month," Putin stated. He drew attention to US plans for increasing production.

"Yes, now they plan to increase it during 2024. They have produced 14,000-15,000. Now they will be making 20,000. But if the rate is as high as 5,000 spent a day, then exhaustion will come rather quickly. That's what's happening now," the Russian leader pointed out.
