Russia launches massive air attack on Ukraine, at least 30 dead, 144 injured -UPDATED-4-VIDEO

 

Russia launched 122 missiles and dozens of drones against Ukrainian targets, officials said Friday, killing at least 30 civilians across the country, Paralel.Az reports citing Associated Press.

At least 144 people were injured and an unknown number were buried under rubble, Ukrainian officials said. A maternity hospital, apartment blocks and schools were among the buildings reported damaged across Ukraine.

Russia has launched a massive wave of missile strikes across Ukrainian cities, including the capital, in one of the biggest attacks on the country since the start of the war, Paralel.Az reports.

At least 18 civilians were killed and 132 injured in the strikes on residential buildings in Kyiv and Odesa and other cities in the west and south on Friday morning, while Ukrainian officials said a shopping centre and maternity hospital were hit in the central city of Dnipro.

The Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelenskiy, said Russia had launched approximately 110 missiles in the attack. “Today, Russia used nearly every type of weapon in its arsenal,” Zelenskiy said in a statement on his social media channels.

Russia unleashed its largest drone and missile attack on Ukraine in months on Friday, killing 12 people and wounding at least 75 others in Kyiv, the south, west and east of the country, officials said, Paralel.Az reports.

Dozens of people were wounded with damage reported at a maternity hospital in the central city of Dnipro and buildings in the western city of Lviv, the southeastern port of Odesa and the eastern city of Kharkiv.

The Ukrainian city of Kharkiv came under a Russian missile attack on Friday morning, Mayor Ihor Terehov said, with at least six blasts registered, Paralel.Az reports citing Reuters.

At the same time, air defences were active in the western Ukrainian city of Lviv as it came under the attack of Russian drones, regional governor, Maksym Kozytskyi, wrote on the Telegram messaging app.

One person was killed and eight injured in Kharkiv, and seven more injured in Kyiv during massive Russian missile attacks on Friday, officials said.

A building of a metro station in Ukraine's capital used as a shelter was damaged, Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko said on Telegram messenger app.

Twenty two Russian strikes were recorded in Kharkiv, damaging a hospital, residential buildings and an industrial facility, Mayor Ihor Terekhov said in televised comments.

In many regions of Ukraine, air raid warnings are sounding for the second time overnight, Paralel.Az reports citing Ukraine Today.

It was noted that the enemy launched Shahed drones across territories of Ukraine since the night. There is also the threat of a ballistic strike.

One of the city’s shopping centers was on fire in Dnieper, Suspilny correspondents report .

According to the adviser to the mayor of Mariupol, Pyotr Andryushchenko, an explosion with an epicenter in the Kalmius district was recorded in the city.

"Kyiv for shelter!" - was added.

According to the mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko, a warehouse is on fire in the Podolsk region. “All services are in place,” he added.
