A strategic partnership is being formed between Azerbaijan and China, Azerbaijani MP Mushfig Jafarov said, Paralel.Az reports.

He said that today the friendly and partnership relations between Azerbaijan and China are developing on an upward line.

Mushfig Jaforov underlined that the development of relations with Azerbaijan is also of special strategic importance for the People's Republic of China: "China, which is interested in forming multi-vector mutually beneficial cooperation relations in the geopolitical space stretching from Asia to Europe, attaches special importance to the realization of energy and transport projects."

The MP added that the congratulatory letter of President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping to President Ilham Aliyev reflected that Azerbaijan and China are friendly and partner countries and mutual trust: "President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has always focused on strengthening these relations. The visits of the head of state to China and numerous signed documents confirm this. Xi Jinping also emphasized that he attaches special importance to the development of relations between the two countries, and he wants to continue joint efforts with the President of Azerbaijan."
