“The documents for opening the railway between Yerevan and Baku are at the high level of preparation,” said Alexey Overchuk, Deputy Prime Minister of Russian Federation who is on visit in Yerevan, Paralel.Az reports.

Overchuk noted that the works are underway to open communications and trilateral working group was established for this purpose:

“The financial component of emission is being calculated, for now, there’re no concrete numbers. Russia plays more of mediator role here and if the parties are ready to continue this work, then of course, we are ready to participate.”

The Russian official stressed that, parties (Azerbaijan and Armenia – ed.) have already started working directly, without the participation of mediators.
