UN Security Council to discuss arms supplies to Ukraine on December 11

The UN Security Council will convene on Russia’s request on December 11 to discuss Western arms supplies to the Kyiv government, Russian First Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN Dmitry Polyansky said on Tuesday, Paralel.Az reports citing TASS.

"At 3:00 p.m. New York time on December 11 a [Security Council] meeting on Western arms supplies to Ukraine will be held on Russia’s request," he wrote on his Telegram channel, adding that Russia is planning to invite "a very interesting" person to deliver a report to the Council.

Polyansky also said that Russia would hold an informal Arria-formula UN Security Council meeting on December 8.

"We will try to invite those who directly participated in these unfortunate events, which in many respects determined Ukraine’s sad future," he said.
