M6.6 earthquake rocks southern Philippines
An offshore earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 6.6 and a depth of 1 kilometer jolted Surigao del Sur province in the southern Philippines on Sunday, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS), Paralel.Az reports citing CGTN.
Sunday's tremor came after a magnitude-7.4 earthquake shook the southern Philippines late on Saturday, killing at least two people, injuring several others and triggering tsunami warnings that were later lifted.
