We see a real opportunity to achieve peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia, said Assistant Secretary of U.S. State for European and Eurasian Affairs James C. O'Brien, Paralel.Az reports.

"We are encouraged by the direct communication between both sides, as well as the engagement through intermediaries. There is a real opportunity for the entire region to benefit from this dialogue. For instance, envisioning trade routes from Central Asia passing through Azerbaijan and Armenia to reach Turkey holds significant potential for boosting economic development along that path. We welcome the opportunity to actively participate in this promising initiative," he said.
