Iran asks EU for help in finding missing president
The European Union has activated a Copernicus satellite to help Iran track down missing President Ebrahim Raisi, who was involved in a helicopter crash along with the foreign minister, Paralel.Az reports citing VOX News.
European Crisis Management Commissioner Janez Lenarcic says the activation of the satellite that will scan the area where the helicopter was suspected of crashing was made following a request for help from Iran.
"With an Iranian request for assistance we are activating the EU's CopernicusEMS satellite. Quick response scanning maps in view of the helicopter accident reported to have been carrying Iran's President and his foreign minister," he said.
