"Today, Armenia accuses Azerbaijan of ethnic cleansing. But with what moral right?", Member of the Azerbaijani Parliament, the Chairman of the Committee of the Milli Majlis Bakhtiyar Aliyev said at the meeting of the Regional Affairs Committee of the Parliament held today, Paralel.Az reports.

The Committee chairman said that the Armenians subjected our citizens to ethnic cleansing: "We must convey this historical truth to the world. Armenians ethnically cleansed our population and drove them out of their homelands. The goal was to settle Armenians abroad in the homes of our citizens. Now we can read the letters written by our citizens to the Soviet leadership with heartache during that period. These facts we must convey to the world. We must show that the rule of law is ensured, historical justice is restored."

He noted that Armenia is against the delimitation: "Because they know that in addition to the occupation, some villages that they used as pastures should be returned to us. We believe that the unification of villages serves the reconstruction of liberated areas in Azerbaijan with the concept of smart city and smart village."
