There is risk of collapse of heavily damaged buildings after earthquakes hit Türkiye's Malatya-UPDATED

 

There were no reports of damage or injuries after the consecutive earthquakes in Battalgazi district of Türkiye's Malatya Province, Disaster and Emergency Management Authority's (AFAD) General Director of Earthquake and Risk Reduction Orhan Tatar said, Paralel.Az's Türkiye correspondent reports.

He noted that investigations are ongoing in the area, and there is a risk of collapse of heavily damaged buildings.

Two consecutive earthquakes with magnitudes of 5,2 and 4,7 occurred in Türkiye's Malatya Province, the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) of Türkiye said, Paralel.Az reports.

It was noted that the underground tremors were registered at 17:46 local time at a depth of 6,99 km, and at 17:49 with a depth of 6,36 km.
