"Azerbaijan is a beautiful country," Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, Minister of State for Europe and North America of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Leo Docherty said as he was received by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, Paralel.Az reports.

He expressed satisfaction on his visit and stressed that he was proud of the rich history of the ties between the two countries.

The guest stated that the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland are positive about making any contribution to ensuring regional peace and stability, and noted that they are proud of the existence of very important political, economic, trade, and energy ties with Azerbaijan for many years.

Leo Docherty emphasized that Azerbaijan is not only an important energy supplier of Europe but also an important and responsible country of the South Caucasus and that there would be no peace and security in Europe without Azerbaijan.
