"There are about 10,000 Palestinian prisoners in Israel," said Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Paralel.Az's Türkiye correspondent reports.

He noted that if Germany takes steps to free these hostages, Türkiye will also help to release the Israeli prisoners captured by Hamas.

Erdogan also added that the German side has not yet responded positively to this proposal: "The German president will go to Israel in a week. You take this step, so we reciprocate."
