A high-ranking officer of the Israeli army was killed last night, Paralel.Az reports citing Ynet.

Noted that, Capt. Shlomo Ben Nun, 22, from Modiin, was killed in fighting overnight in northern Gaza by Hamas fighters. Ben Nun was a company deputy commander in the 202nd Battalion of the Paratroop Brigade.

It was also added that 2 soldiers were injured in the fighting in the north of the Gaza Strip, they were evacuated from the area for treatment in the hospital and their families were informed.
