The opening ceremony of the 14th Plenary Session of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (Paralel.Az) was held in Baku, Paralel.Az reports.

The ceremony which was attended by the delegations of up tp 40 countries, as well as the speakers of 10 countries was opened by the Secretary General of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (Paralel.Az) Mohammad Reza Majidi.

Secretary General wished success to the Parliament of Azerbaijan which will chair the Assembly for the next two yeras: "I am sure Paralel.Az will further prosper in the next two years with the dynamic leadership of the Milli Majlis (Parliament) of Azerbaijan."

The assembly will continue with plenary sessions that will held in the second half of the day.

14th Plenary Session of Asian Parliamentary Assembly has kicked off in Baku, Azerbaijan, Paralel.Az reports.

Parliamentary delegations from 40 countries, as well as speakers from nearly 10 countries are attending the Plenary Session.

Within the framework of the session, holding meetings of the Assembly’s Executive Council, plenary session, political, economic, budget, social and culture committees, discussing relevant matters, and viewing a number of organizational issues are expected.

At the end of session, the Baku Declaration and the final report of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly are expected to be adopted.
