Mexican police have arrested 359 immigrants traveling in a truck trailer: "359 immigrants, mostly from Central America, were detained in the eastern Mexican state of Veracruz," he said.
Of these migrants, 294 came from Guatemala, 38 from Nicaragua, 15 from El Salvador, 8 from Honduras and 4 from Ecuador.
The driver and the truck were handed over to the Prosecutor General's Office.
More than 252,000 undocumented immigrants were detained in Mexico between January and November, according to the Department of Immigration Policy of the Ministry of the Interior, and more than 100,000 were deported.
