Afshar Muhib ends hunger strike

Afshar Muhib, a political prisoner from the south, who went on a hunger strike in the central prison of Ardabil, ended his hunger strike.
This was reported by the human rights news agency HRA.
Afshar Muhib reportedly ended his hunger strike over promises from officials. On January 2, he went on a hunger strike to protest the court investigator's request for his release.
Prison governor Afshar Muhiba promised that a request for temporary release would be possible in exchange for a hostage.
When Muhib went to court, he was accused of "propaganda against the Islamic Republic of Iran" and was transferred to Ardabil prison.
