2,298 people were detained in Kazakhstan

 

The situation in Almaty, Kazakhstan, remains tense.
As Paralel.az reports with reference to TASS, this was reported to the Ministry of Internal Affairs. According to the report, the situation in other regions of Kazakhstan has stabilized. In the capital, Nur-Sultan, Shymkent, Akmola, Kyzylorda, Pavlodar, North Kazakhstan and Turkestan regions are calm. Several highways and railways have been blocked in Aktobe, Atyrau, West Kazakhstan and Mangistau regions.
It is noted that the anti-terrorist operation continues. A total of 18 security personnel were reported to have died in the riots. During the clashes, 353 people were injured.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that 2,298 people were detained during the recent riots in Kazakhstan.
