Permanent Representative of Russia to the EU Vladimir Chizhov said that Russia is ready to discuss migration policy and share its experience, RIA Novosti reports.
“As for the migration negotiations, yes, we are ready to discuss them with the European Union,” he said at a briefing at the Russia Today news agency. He added that Russia has extensive experience in migration, since Russia is a "unique country": "at the same time a country of origin, a country of transit and a country of destination."
“In Russia, as you know, there are many migrants on our territory. We have experience working with migrants, mainly from the USSR. It would be a more successful path than the European Union, ”Chizhov said.
