World's first electric tanker launched in Japan

 

As Paralel.az reports, the world's first electric tanker, Asahi, launched in Japan, is 62 meters long and 10.3 meters high.
A tanker with a capacity of 499 tons and a storage capacity of 1.28 thousand cubic meters.
The ship is equipped with lithium-ion batteries with a total capacity of 3.48 thousand kilowatts.
The tanker is expected to be used to refuel transoceanic vessels in Tokyo Bay from March 2022.
