Internet pirates imprisoned in Malaysia for 20 years

 

As Paralel.az reports, distributing content without the author's permission can be very costly for Malaysian citizens: “The country has amended its copyright law.
Intentionally harming copyright holders through illegal broadcasting can be punished with a fine of US $ 2,377 or more, or up to 20 years in prison.
The new law also provides for the liability of companies and their employees who do not take action against pirates.
