In Afghanistan, Taliban supreme leader Sheikh al-Hadith Haybatullah Akhundzade (Hafizullah) ordered the release of political prisoners from all prisons in the country.
This was stated by the official representative of the Taliban, Qari Yusif Ahmadi.
"The decree on the release of political prisoners from all prisons in the country states that the provincial governors must unconditionally release all political prisoners in the country and hand them over to their families tomorrow," the statement said.
At the same time, social networks are increasingly demanding the release of Salima Mazari, the former mayor of Charkint, from the captivity of the Taliban in the Afghan segment. She was one of three women who served as district governors in the previous government.
