Armenian Foreign Ministry slandered the President of Azerbaijan

Answering the question of the Armenpress news agency, the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry criticized the President of Azerbaijan, stating: “In his last interview, the President confirmed the fact of the presence of Azerbaijani troops on the territory of the Republic of Armenia, stating:“ Zangezur is our primordial land. ”
In fact, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has always said that not only Zangezur, but also the current capital of Armenia, Yerevan, is the historical land of Azerbaijan, the center of the Iravan Khanate. But the Armenians never thought so.
The mass resettlement of Armenians in the territory of modern Armenia was carried out by Tsarist Russia after the signing of the "Turkmenchay Peace Treaty" between Russia and Iran in 1828. Even the famous letter from the then Russian ambassador to Iran Griboyedov confirms this historical fact. The final chords of the process were imposed by the hegemony of Soviet Russia and the transfer of Zangezur to Armenia in 1920. With this in mind, the president wants to convey to the world that Azerbaijan is an "aggression" against Armenia, interpreting the statement as the presence of the Azerbaijani army in Zangezur. However, at present Zangezur is under the control of the Armenian army, which is confirmed by the data of the Armenian Ministry of Defense. The Armenian lie, as always, is easily exposed: what the President of Azerbaijan said about the historical past, the Armenian Foreign Ministry does not want to burn today, and no one believes it. Now Armenia needs to present Azerbaijan to the world as an aggressor.
