Diet for diabetics
A number of complications that can occur in patients with diabetes can be prevented by following the rules of proper nutrition. The goal of the diet is to prefer foods that neutralize carbohydrate and fat metabolism in diabetics and reduce the intake of nutrients that cause high blood sugar.
Animal fats, high-calorie foods, proteins, sugars and sweets are in short supply in this diet. Cholesterol-free, salt-free, fried foods are preferred in this diet. Patients are advised to eat 5-6 times a day and have an equal amount of carbohydrates in the diet (300: 6).
Fatty broths, fatty dough, rice cooked in milk, semolina, fatty duck, goose, turkey, smoked meat and meat products, canned food, fish caviar, salted and oily fish, salted cheese, sweet cottage cheese, pasta, pickles, sugar, jams and sweets should not be used.
The diet of diabetics should consist of the following.
- lean beef, lamb, lean turkey
- Unfried fish meat
- skim milk, cottage cheese, cheese, yogurt
- Scrambled eggs
- Salads made from cabbage, carrots, beets, green peas
- seafood salads
- shea butter, all kinds of vegetable oils
-fresh fruits and vegetables
-Low sugar candy
