Ilham Ismayilov: "Apart from Zangazur, of course, Yerevan, Goycha and Daralayaz districts should be included in our goals"

"Now, after all communications are opened, of course, the Azerbaijani people will return to their ancestral lands. The tripartite November 10 statement states: All refugees must return to their native lands. Our homeland is Zangazur, Goycha, Yerevan. We will return, of course," Azerbaijan said. President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev addressed a ceremony of presenting apartments and cars to the families of martyrs and war invalids in Khojasan settlement of Baku's Binagadi district on July 14.

Commenting on the president's speech, Ilham Ismayilov, chairman of the Center for Cooperation of Azerbaijanis and Other Turkic-Speaking Peoples, said that President Ilham Aliyev had based his foreign policy on offensive diplomacy since 2007. that he always spoke in front of all foreign audiences, and historical facts have repeatedly proved this with evidence. Ten years ago, for the first time, the President openly stated his views on the return of the remaining lands to the territory of Armenia, and also defined the future national strategy of our country. We no longer consider the return to those lands as a dream, but as one of the main goals of our people, a national concept. The word Zangazur is already being used more in our daily lexicon. Because we have already started to take real steps in this direction, and the Armenians are forced to agree with it. "

Ilham Ismayilov also commented on the recent ceasefire violations by Armenians in Shusha, Kalbajar, Gadabay and Nakhchivan: “The President of Azerbaijan has created the East Zangazur economic zone. As the President said, if there is East Zangazur, then there is also West Zangazur. Armenians already understand that the Karabakh conflict has been resolved and that Azerbaijan aims to return to its historical lands, which were given to Armenia a hundred years ago. Along with Zangazur, of course, Yerevan, Goycha and Daralayaz districts should be included in our goals. Today, the Armenian government wants to find solace in violating the ceasefire in the region and show that the conflict is not over. However, we have resolved the conflict and are already engaged in constructive work there. Armenians who imitate the continuation of the conflict can achieve nothing. The continuation of such cases further casts a shadow over the activities of Russian peacekeepers.
