Protest march is underway in Tbilisi
The procession of three political parties started from the station square in the direction of Rustaveli avenue, Paralel.Az reports citing Interpress news.
The leaders of the party will go from the central office of "Strong Georgia" to Marjanishvili square, and then they will continue their march towards the parliament building.
As "Coalition for Change" leader Nika Meliasaid during the march, the protest will continue until new elections are held.
"A continuous, permanent protest has started. This will continue until new elections are held in the country. It is impossible for the processes to develop otherwise. Yes, the powerful protest movement will continue until justice is restored, until the Georgian people believe that their choice is protected. No one will forgive anyone for stealing the elections, stealing the European future. Suppression of national spirit is out of the question.
The largest part of the society showed the degree of trust in the Georgian independent opposition forces and voted for a better future. Together with the Georgian people, we are united around this important goal. Tbilisi will have a decisive say in this process. "New elections will definitely be held for independent Georgia," said Melia.
Flags of the European Union and Georgia were delivered to the participants of the march. They have unfurled a banner with the inscription "Wake up Georgia".
Three political unions: "Unity-National Movement", "Coalition for Change" and "Strong Georgia" will join the gathering on Rustaveli Avenue.
It is at today's rally that it will be known what the opposition's protest forms and action plan will be.
